DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
We do not provide direct insurance submission. This allows for much more time to be spent with Dr. Zubkov. Most of today’s complex, chronic medical issues cannot be addressed in a rushed 10-minute visit. More time with your physician will ensure higher quality care and inevitably, better health outcomes. TIME matters! We also choose to forgo insurance payments in order to save our patients from the arbitrary, intrusive decisions that inevitably follow third-party payers. Furthermore, this direct fee-for-service arrangement frees us from the typical contractual agreements that prevent physicians from offering wholesale prices on lab tests, imaging studies, and medications.
ARE PATIENTS LIMITED TO A SPECIFIC GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION?
Absolutely not! Though most of our patients are located in the USA, many of Dr. Zubkov’s patients live in different parts of the United States, so he has adapted his practice to work with patients wherever they may be. Video conferencing software is a preferred method that you can choose to consult by way of virtual office visits.
HOW ARE MY PREVIOUS MEDICAL RECORDS HANDLED?
Medical records can only be released with your authorization. It is your responsibility to obtain previous medical records from other physicians, or health care providers that you wish for our providers to review. If you feel your medical records are pertinent to your appointment with our providers, please contact your physician or other health care provider to obtain these records and make sure that we have received them at least 14 days prior to your initial appointment.
HOW ARE LABORATORY TESTS HANDLED?
Some testing can be done through conventional laboratories and others are only available through specialty laboratories. During your consultation, Dr. Zubkov will determine which tests are needed and then our office assistants can review the testing recommendations, the instructions (e.g. fasting or non-fasting, etc.) and costs. Some testing can be performed at home with test kits to collect urine, saliva or stool samples. Others may require you to go to a local laboratory to draw the blood. In those instances, we can provide you with an order that you can take to a facility near your home. In all cases, we will assist you in coordinating initial and follow-up testing.
CAN DR. ZUBKOV BE MY PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER?
No, Dr. Zubkov's consultation services via virtual office visits will be limited to that of consultation only. He does require that you maintain with a primary care doctor or specialist for routine screening exams such as physical exams, pap smears, colonoscopies, prostate exams, etc. and for emergency situations requiring immediate care or hospitalization.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO GO TO A HOSPITAL OR SEE A SPECIALIST?

In those instances where those types of care are required, we will certainly continue to serve you during your hospital stay or to work closely with any specialist.
