This diet is based on ancient ayurvedic practices.

 

Start very slow. Do not start all 100% recommendations at the same time

 

Useful taste: Sweet, sour, salt,

Food should be warm, oily, nutritious

Most important are protein and fats.

Also, you should not avoid carbohydrates (or you will loose too much weight).

 

Principals:

  1. No hunger
  2. Eat 4-5 times a day, slowly transfer to 3-4 x a day
  3. Plan you food and do not miss it.
  4. Breakfast within 40-90 minutes after wakening up (8:00)
  5. Snack 11:00
  6. Lunch 1200-1300
  7. Snack 1600-1700
  8. Supper 190-2000
  9. Breakfast and lunch – more volume. Second snack and dinner – light
  10. If too much sleep issues, add carbohydrates to the dinner

Other Principals

  1. No Hunger!!!!!
  2. If you want to have lighter days, decrease your calories intake by 20-30%. Food still need to be warm, oily, with all important nutrients: protein, fat, carbs, fiber.
  3. Priority – cooked food. Minimal raw food
    1. When starting 90% cooked food, 10% raw food
    2. After a month or two, especially is gaining some weight- 70% cooked, 30% raw
  4. Priority – light combination of the products

DECREASE:

  1. Hard spices
  2. Raw vegetables, fruits, juices, smoothies
  3. Cold food or drinks
  4. Fasting, very hard diets, detox with smoothies, salads and juices
  5. Avoid any extreme diets, including Autoimmune diet
  6. Keto diet – only under supervision

 

Food:

  1. Soups and broth
    1. Example – broth for lunch and snack, soup for dinner
  2. Broth from Lamb, fish, beef. For vegetarians – miso soups
  3. Cook broth from meat and bones: fish 20-30 minutes, red meat 2-4 hours, poultry and rabbit 1-2 hours.
  4. Easily digestible proteins
    1. Liver, heart, tongue
    2. Free range poultry,
    3. Rabbit
    4. Fish – any , but not very fatty
    5. Seafood
    6. Eggs
  5. Fats: any, usually four or five tablespoons a day
  6. Natural oils like ghee, olive oil, pumpkin oil, sunflower
  7. Also fat from lamb or duck
  8. Grains:
  9. Amaranth
  10. Corn
  11. Flax
  12. still odds
  13. Basmati rice

 

Beans and Lentils

Combine beans and lentils with vegetables, grains, oils and spices that calm  vatta

Kichari rise and green mash

Green mash and quinoa

Tofu, Tempe, miso

Any lentils

 

Dairy

Hot milk with spices during Vatta hours.  ****

Warm yogurts, kefirs, cottage cheese

Cooked cottage cheese

 

Vegetables

Any cooked vegetables with oil. (be careful with high glycemic index vegetables, or mix them with low glycemic index vegetables)

 

Fruit

Any cook fruits

Apricot, banana, grapes, pomegranate, pear, figs, mango, plums, peaches

Any sweet berries in small amounts

Sweets:

Coconut sugar or cane sugar

Berry syrup

Dry fruit

Nuts:

Any nuts in small quantities (30-40 gr), soaked and the heated in the oven

MINIMIZE

Proteins

  1. Ground lamb, beef, etc.
  2. Duck, Goose
  3. Fat fish: Halibut, Salmon, Mackerel

Grains

  1. Buckwheat, wild rice, quinoa
  2. Whole-wheat flour (any)

Dairy

  1. Too much dairy
  2. Any cold cheese

Vegetables

  1. Al Dente vegetables.
  2. Any leafy greens should be combined with hot meals, better soups or broth and at the end of the meal

Beans and Lentils

  1. Whole chickpea
  2. Green Lentils

Fruit

  1. Any citrus, apples without skin
  2. Sour berries

Sweets

  1. Dark, bitter chocolate

 

AVOID

  1. Pork

  2. Fine flour

  1. Kefir
  2. Cold mild, ice-cream, cold cream

  1. Cruciferous vegetables (raw) – radishes, daikon, cabbages (especially while/green cabbage)
  2. Raw onion, garlic
  3. Raw celery
  4. Too much smoothies and juices

Fruits

  1. Watermelon
  2. Apples with skin, sour

  1. Honey
  2. White sugar or any products with white sugar
